The Hollywood Reporter confirms the ink is just about dry on his contract for the film, tentatively titled The First Avenger: Captain America, which is set for release next year. Tough luck, John Krasinski, Chace Crawford, and all the other guys who were in the running for the role. Hugo Weaving (The Matrix’s Agent Smith) will be playing one of the evil Red Skulls.
