Dexter’s “daddy” leaves

Dexter show-runner Clyde Phillips has left the slasher series to “spend more time with his family”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Clyde has had to be away from his family in Connecticut for nine months at a time for the past four years and, since he has a 13-year-old daughter, can no longer afford to be an absentee father. He’s leaving on a high note, with the success of the Trinity Killer storyline and the latest season’s hugely popular killer ending.
