Kitty Kelley’s unauthorised biography of Oprah Winfrey has Americans running to the bookshops for all sorts of tasty – if not entirely reliable – revelations. According to Kitty’s sources (including disgruntled and envious family members), Oprah exaggerated her childhood poverty because “the truth is boring”. The books also claims she was a teen prostitute, that she won’t give her mom her phone number, and that she doesn’t know her real father’s identity!
