Rumours swirl around next Bond film

Bond fans may have to wait a while before they’re able to see a new James Bond film, thanks to the NEW financial woes at MGM. Producer Michael G Wilson told Total Film, “Our timeline's a little up in the air, what with the situation at MGM, so we have to be flexible. We just don't know enough about the situation to comment, but we know it's uncertain." Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter says Bond big cheeses Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are in talks with director Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road) to direct the next film. According to the trade paper, if Mendes signs on the dotted line, the film could start production in June, and be released late next year. Hmm... who to believe? We’re hoping for the Hollywood Reporter version, of course!
