More surrogate snoop scoop
An update on the cops who were caught out snooping round Sarah Jessica Parker’s surrogate mum in Ohio – Police Chief Barry Carpenter's phone has been seized because it allegedly shows pictures of the inside of the surrogate’s house. TMZ’s source reports that 15 pics of the inside of her house appeared on the phone. WENN has named the tabloid who allegedly bribed the two officers as the National Enquirer, but its editors have denied the claim and Carpenter claims he was just “messing with” the reporter involved. In other ‘other people’s babies’ news, Madonna has been reunited with her new Malawian daughter, Mercy, in London.

Michael Bay’s big whinge
Transformers 2 director Michael Bay has written a furious letter of complaint to Paramount studios about the “lame” way his film is being promoted, according to TMZ. The letter, dated 4 May, complains, “I have been waiting and waiting for the anticipation of an 'event movie' to make it into the public zeitgeist . . . A studio that does not make [the opening of a movie] an event.... will get bitten in the ass... Is this a cash issue with your company?” He also calls Transformers 2’s presence at the MTV movie Awards “so lame”, and complains that the print presence is an “abject failure”. Perhaps the Team America guys should write him another song. Remember this? “I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark, When he made Pearl Harbor. I miss you more than that movie missed the point, And that’s an awful lot.”
