SABC protest march today
If you’d like to show your support for local actors, writers and producers of your favourite local soapies, comedies, dramas and more, the planned protest outside the SABC takes place in Cape Town and Joburg today. The schedule is as follows: 10.30: Joburg - Gather at Atlas Studios in Milpark for rally, 12.00: Cape Town - Gather on grass in front of SABC, 12.00: Joburg - March to SABC, 13.00: Joburg and Cape Town - march and picket at SABC, 13.45: Joburg - Hand over memorandum. Protesters who’d like to can wear red to the rally and carry placards.
New Moon sneak peek
You can see the new Twilight movie New Moon’s trailer (the one that went out at the MTV movie awards on Sunday) and more at interviewmagazine.com/film/the-twilight-saga/. Jacob Black has become h.o.t. (and incredibly buff!), but his wolf form looks a little rubbish. Robert Pattinson continues to poke fun at his fans – but that’s why we love him (that, and the hair). He tells Interview magazine, “It's funny, because teenage girls would say, ‘Oh, my God, you're Cedric!' It switched in a week to ‘Oh, my God, it's Edward!’ Allegiances change so freely in the teen-girl world.” Not so, Eddie baby, we owe our allegiance to the hotness, in whatever form it manifests.
Hollywood divorces
Danny Trejo, best known as Spy Kids’ Uncle Machete (and appearing soon on Y&R, as the bar tender Victor meets down in Mexico) has filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Debbie. The couple have two children together. American Beauty star Wes Bentley is divorcing his estranged wife of seven years, actress Jennifer Quanz. According to TMZ, the couple have been separated for two years and Wes wants to nix spousal support for Jennifer.
