Production on ER star Maura Tierney’s (Abby) new drama series, Parenthood, has been pushed back as Maura undergoes surgery. She told US magazine, "In an effort to guard my privacy, it seems that the wording of NBC's press release has unfortunately caused some confusion and undue alarm about my health. I have discovered a tumour in my breast which requires surgery. I will not know my exact diagnosis or the course of treatment until that surgery is performed, but my doctors have all assured me that this is a very treatable condition.
