Ashlee Simpson and former AMC star Colin Egglesfield (who replaces Scott Kinworthy as Josh Madden in AMC’s SA broadcasts this December) have been fired from the new Melrose Place! Their last episodes go on air in America in January. The show’s exec co-producer, Todd Slavkin, told Entertainment Weekly, “We always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. Colin was always meant to be the ultimate suspect. And his brooding alcoholic character tonally didn’t fit the paradigm moving into post-murder mystery Melrose Place.” Poor Colin.
